We visited Chianti and the Florence area in October 2007. We stayed in Radda and explored the hills and hilltop towns of Chianti, and absorbed the views, the food and the wine. We then looked over Florence from Fiesole, and enjoyed the key sights in Florence. On our way back to Rome, we stopped at Orvieto, a hill town in Umbria, where the Duomo is magnificant, and the town - built on an outcropping - charming.
