Red-winged Blackbird, juvenile "Bicolored"

Ed Levin Park

I originally identified this bird as a juvenile Brown-headed Cowbird, based (too much) on the bill shape. Mike Rogers pointed out to me that the patterned upperpart plumage, with cinnamon edges to coverts and tertials, is characteristic of Red-wing; juvenile BHCO has plain gray-brown look on upperparts.
