This was a team made up of members of the Board of Directors of the Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society, plus a spouse: Bob Hirt, leader; Peter and Diane Hart; Phil and Joan Leighton; Marlene Macek; and yours truly. Our assignment was to see as many birds as we could between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on April 30, 2017; the four hour time limit, not to mention our inclination to hang around interesting birds rather than charge ahead to keep moving, meant that our efforts were confined to Stevens Creek Park in the foothills (Cupertino), and Shoreline Park by the Bay (Mountain View). We had a lot of fun and saw some good birds; pictures of some of them follow, in chronological order. I've included some obviously flawed photos that I thought might nonetheless evoke memories for the Board But Not Boring gang.
