MILES APART

Fort Worth, TX

This kind of thing really tugs at my heart strings and the reason I started this gallery. The homeless man was really hungry and watching intently while the other man is fixing his lunch. The man turned and left and was oblivious that the homeless man was there. I was at a stop light and took the picture and had to stop. I spent the last of my lunch money for the week and bought him two hotdogs. I couldn't stand to see him just watch this man and wish for a bite to eat.

I do not do this for praise from anyone, I just feel it necessary to help our fellow man as God lays it on my heart. So if you must praise someone, praise Him for He is the little voice inside my head that nudges me to act. After all, that could be me or someone I love. You never know what hand you will be dealt with in this life. I'm blessed that I have a roof over my head and food to eat. Although I'm far from rich and could have used the money to have lunch, I felt he needed it more. I have food in my house and a warm bed to sleep in where this man has nothing. Aren't we supposed to help out those in need?

Painful to see, Cindi & I know you do this sort of thing often, because of who you are. I have seen close up the spirit of giving, never more than just recently & where I can I try to give back too.
