My siblings and I grew up listening to the delightful tales of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie by May Gibbs (an Australian author: http://www.maygibbs.com.au ) read to us at bedtime by our mother. These little Gumnut babies, round and plump, with large blue eyes, had many adventures with Little Ragged Blossom and their friend, Mr Lizard. They populated the "bush" and the gum trees in Australia. My children were also brought up on the tales of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie.

On December the first 2005, our little grandson, Guy was born. He is a perfect little Snugglepot, round and plump, with big blue eyes. He is the first little “Gumnut" cousin amongst four little "Blossoms" (the little Jewells who appear elsewhere in my galleries)
