The diversity of plant life in Costa Rica is probably exceeded only by the diversity of insect life. Unfortunately, as is the case with insects, seasons make a big difference, and the dry season, which is when I was there, is the poorest for flowers. I did not see a single orchid in bloom other than the non-nattive one in the botanical gardens at Selva Verde. Nontheless, this is a substantial gallery and has many unidentified flowers and plants. Any help in that regard would be greatly appreciated.
