Comet C/2006A1 (Pojmanski) - Feb 1.80, 2006 UT

Comet Pojmanski imaged low in the south-east morning twilight from Brisbane, Australua. Using a Canon 300D and 100mm EF Macro lens at f2.8, 5 x 3 minute exposures were made at ISO400. These we aligned and added in IRIS, gamma and whitebalance correction applied then cropped an reduced slightly for this view. Field of view is 6.5 degrees and north is left and Alpha Pavo is at right. Visually, the comet was well condensed and easily visible in 15x70 binoculars at mag 6.7 - although no tail was visible.
