Comet Aaseth-Brewington photographed from a fixed tripod camera on December 28.75 UT, 1989, only a day after perihelion. The photograph shows the tiny coma with a trace of tail, and some of the stars in the Scorpios 'Stinger' are visible to the right. The lens used was a 135mm f3.5 SMC Pentax lens with an exposure of about 5 seconds. The photographer was T.Lovejoy, who was located 30km North of Melbourne, Victoria, at the time.
