Moose Cree First Nation celebrated National Aboriginal Day with a Community breakfast and opening ceremonies. Activities included were Sunrise Sweat Lodge Ceremonies, Drumming and Round Dance workshop, Traditional Teachings, History of the Cree, Rites of Passage, How to read Nature, Plant Medicines. There was also Preschooler Activities at the Mocreebec Healthy Babies such as crafts, beading, bannock making, healthy snacks, traditional baby props, and some face painting. The afternoon had games for all ages at the Centennial Park children participated in potatoe sack races, 3 legged races, wheel barrow races, dizzy izzy relay races, hunters walk races and tug of war "battle of the sexes".
There was also Food Preparation Workshops at the Cree Cultural Organization grounds. Sturgeon on a rock, smoking fish, bannock making, indian pudding cake, beaver, and sakabauns were prepared for the Community potluck feast. The evening ended with a talent show.
