Part of the San Benito County raptor extravaganza. Despite overcast skies, on 11/12/11, the raptors seen along John Smith/Santa Ana Valley Rd included 15 Golden Eagles (3 ad, 9 imm, 3 unknown), 2 Prairie Falcons, 6 Ferruginous Hawks (1 dark-morph), 2 Northern Harriers, 2 adult Bald Eagles, 6 White-tailed Kites, 2 Cooper's Hawks, 1 accipiter sp,, and various American Kestrels and Red-taileds. 2 additional adult Bald Eagles were at Paicines.
