A little luck and patience is involved for sure. Patience is something I have had to work on and it does produce results sometimes.

Terry, this is a beautiful shot. You and Mark both do a better job of stalking your subjects than I do. I have thought about trying to learn to stalk deer, but haven't done it yet. Pictures like this prove that getting close to your subject beats a long lens.

Good evening Mark. Was only about 20-25 ft away. Just lucky, spotted then in a meadow after giving up on my GBH for the day. Got some with the DRebel and with the E-20 but they did know we were there and didn't allow us too many oportunities.
