Beautiful image. Love the light, the mood. Location is great!

I am so envious of your ability to get everything right. This is not just a nude. It is a lesson in lighting, in composition, in posing and placement of the model. I'm no longer amazed by your work, I'm humbled. Brilliant.

Kees, this is a wonderful image. The room seems to be swimming in a beautiful soft light. It is quiet and noisy at the same time, it kind of pulls and pushes. It is a wonderful "visual massage". Thank you for making and sharing! Ken

Brilliant Kees..such a damn shame they bulldozed this amazing "studio"..
Cracking image...

OH... MY....GOSH... This is an image that speaks to me in abundance.. The graffiti, the lighting, the subject, the chaos of the room. The mood is outstanding, I love it. With a definite vote :)

Wow, thanks everyone for this impressive support for just another one of my snapshots. Most of you guys are far greater masters of the medium and I owe my gratitude to you all for the inspiration and guidance to achieve this final presentation.

Hey CL Chick, that dreadful day came early last year. The place was converted into a big pile of rubble and now they are having trouble getting the permits to redevelop the site.

I really do miss this place. <¬(

Whoa. voted. So much frustration, boredom and finally ambivalence conveyed here.
Guest 16-Apr-2006 19:23
How damn cool is this?! Really a fine image, Kees. The composition is just excellent. I hope they never tear this place down (bet you do too...). Got my vote for sure.

Wow, it's amazing. Agree with Jude's points entirely. I think it's the strength of your control of lighting and attention to how it plays against the foreground and background that make the eyes appreciate the room, while remaining focused on the model. Really great shot - love the border too. Have really enjoyed your posts as of late Kees. Voted

I love the way you do this kind of portraiture with a whole room instead of closeups. We are still drawn to the person no matter how large or fascinating the room is.. It's the emotion in them.

Thanks Norman, the pose was borrowed from a pencil drawing on the wall. I used that drawing as the background here.

Guest 15-Apr-2006 12:19
this is one of my fav of your nude shots. the setting is perfect. the pose can be more natural though, i think. anyway, good job.

cheers,
norman.
