Rachael

I really love the 50mm F1.8 lens.
Regardless of the fact that it is
not supposed to be a portrait lens
I believe it to be an ideal all-
round lens. It is sharp, fast and
incredibly reliable.

Rachel was photographed using
available (window) light. The shot
was converted to BW using Photoshop.

Great portrait and those eyes!
50mm is considerd a little short for heads in the 35mm film format, but don't forget that on digital cams there is a 1.5 factor making the 50 the eq of a 75 mm which is very nice for portraits.
Best

Excellent shot - I wonder if the 50 mm on digital is almost like an 85 mm on a regular SLR. Very nice.
