yes, that happened to our cat , too... took six months for his fur to grow back completely

This happened to my cat too. The stray cat that bit him was a fierce and venomous creature.

looks like a bite wound that has gotten bigger - ( I've seen that before on my Cat) - need to go to vet so that it can be sewn up , other wise it will become infected.
