Manila Zoo, Malate, Philippines

My 300D-PH buddies & I were out yesterday (May 5, 04), we photographed the lovely animals at Manila Zoo.
Too bad that our colleagues did not make it. It was fun! Though it is a burden shooting through those cages.

Arthur ilagan is a nice Person.. he is so kind and very GOD-FEARING..frined ko sya nung highschool pa..after a long time nagkita uli kami dito sa manila..ang saya ng moments ng makasam ko sya sa manila zoo..i wll forever treasure it friend, sa barkada natin?we all rock!!! dito lang kami lagi for you..dont worry..GOD BLESS

I enjoyed seeing all your animals, but I was really angry when I saw a halfplucked, terrified chicken in the snake cage waiting to die. Have the decency to kill the chicken before feeding it to the snake. Douglas Miller Canada

i simply like the animals in the zoo. but i felt sad when i noticed that they were not in good conditioned, animals need clean habitat and right diets...but it is not a hopeless case ive been sending mail to my friendS and gathering certain idea in whAT WAY WE CAN HELP.. IT'S OURS!!! and it's made for all, but considering that we people who are in a higher ranks must not only be watching them and be pleased because there really great but also the animal must also co exist in what we enjoyed.both creatures must enjoy!! keep up!! godbless you!

First i would like to say its some really good pic. im from denmark and have bin in the zoo 3 time.i have a house en mindoro and im going to move to the philippines next year.when i came to the manila zoo i got a chok.the zoo is really sad to walk in.i have bin working in many zoos in the holl world bu manila zoo is really bad.if i could get a job there im sure it could be much better but contackt me on biancawindemuth@hotmail.com. pls let me help manila zoo

great pictures, especially the ostritch. I didn't know that there are nice still beautiful birds in manila zoo because my impression to manila zoo is that you don't see much from there anymore. but i've also noticed the poor elephant, he's already too old. i think he's still the same elephant when my parents brought me there with my siblings, i was only then 3 yrs old i think and that was 35 years ago haha! :o)-- anyway, good luck to your photography -- edith

the best photos ever, im also an animal lover myself, i've seen alot of animal photo's and i think these are one of the best photo's that i've seen... take note it was taken in a zoo... AMAZING!

Nice photos Regie! It's too bad I couldn't make it! My favorites are 316_1635 and 316_1675. That ostrich portrait is soooo very cool!
