Often incorrectly called AMARYLLIS but belongs to the same family (AMARYLLIDACEAE).
These images are of small areas of the flower during its progress from the bud opening,the flower in full bloom and finally withering away.
A flower is a world by itself. Your pictures demonstrate it. I like also the three colums and the progression of the close up from the buttom row to the top. A very beautiful gallery.
