G'day Tom,
I see that my old R51/3 is up for sale.
If it helps you. I'm happy to be contacted by any prospective buyers.
I was the second owner, the original owner was Jim Lambert, who used to live in Angelsea, Victoria. I paid $1,750 for it back in May 1994. It was a "basket case".
Cheers,
Lloyd

Cole Scrogham sent me this link. I have the Porsche Carrera that he mentioned to you. It has a roller bearing crank just like my 1959 R-50 (which I bought new!!) Over the years I have done some intersting repairs to my bike, the details of which I would share with you if you would send me an e-mail address so I could send pictures.
If you want to learn more about my Carrera, google my name and the word porsche-- (i.e. "roger craig porsche) and you'll see lots of stuff. Mostly generated from the press release from the Pebble Beach Concours people.
