This was a HDR... I had the feeling all day that the sky woudltur out Firery (Pink and Gold) that evening because it was raining all day and then the sun came bac then the rain and so on... After work, I rushed to this locaton and I was hoping that by the time I got there the colors wouldnt be gone. I came close to mising it but I did have the time to set up my tripod and bracketedfor 9 different exposure so that I could grasp all tones etc and then openened all my JPEG files into Photomatix (HDR software) I sent a few minutes adjustin the tones and saved it... this is what came out!
A reminder: It is always good to know great locations like this and to note how te sun reacts and at what time... this made this sho possible.

I too would be interested in seeing your pictures tht you are taking with the D200 - It is a great camera (will never be too old for me) Nikon made a classic!
