As we discussed today, we will explore mostly man-made stuff, cities, things, and look for aging. Things may get older, and fall apart some, but may still be very beautiful just the same. Get out of your comfort zone, look around you, re-interpret our world to show beauty in unexpected places.

Suggestions: simple is good; closeups may reveal interesting details.

Challenge open to pictures taken between March 18-28 inclusively
Voting March 29-31.

Please, no archive pictures.

It took me three days to pick a favourite.. best bunch of photos I've seen yet. I pick #5, becuase it tells a story of decay and reclamation. I also like the angle of the window. I could've easily picked 5 or more and still have had a hard time this week. -John Trude

So many great photos this week. I vote for number 3. Unusual architecture, lots going on. Not only did the photographer followed the assignment, but the composition is very pleasing. I can see that this structure had an interesting story, and still has things going on in there. Just one small comment; I would have straightened the horizon a bit. The picture is almost level, but is just off a bit in a distracting way. Nice colour contrast and detail. Like I said earlier, a great week; hats off to all participants. Bob

My vote goes to #15. I find #8 a little heavy on the Photoshop, but it has some good things going for it too. It almost looks 3D with the piece of paper popping up in the front! Jenna

I vote #7. Not even sea -foam green paint can prevent deterioration. I also liked #1 - safety first! ..wait is that mirror for the rider to look at themself? -Sandy

Lots of good stuff here again. Great to see a lot of participation. I very much enjoyed the story and history for #12 and it gets my vote. Although probably unintentional I like how the old neglected building in the background contrasts with the well cared for boat. Goes to show that aging can be graceful with proper care. I also really like #5 because I've always appreciated seeing natural reclamation. Nothing is immune to the forces of nature and nothing is more beautiful than what nature provides. I was quite torn on this and it nearly got my vote. Ron

I like many of the pictures, however, my eye was immediately drawn to 8 (lines), 11 (lines) and 19 (colour). My vote goes to 19 because of the contrast between the vibrant paints and the rusty weight.

My vote goes for #11 as I believe it best represents the theme 'aging... gracefully'. A lot of pictures showed urban decay - I don't see that as graceful!

What great pics. I have many favourites, but my final vote goes to # 8 for its originality and angle. Love it ! Thanks for sharing and enjoy your day !
