 9 Every home has a place to store those small useless trinkets we've collected over the years. Objects that hold memories of people, places and times gone by. Some people keep them in shoe boxes, old suitcases or trunks and some keep them in a little designated junk drawer. This is mine. These are my memories.

I didn't get my vote in on time, but just wanted to say what an outstanding gallery the club has come up with! I think it is really special. And I want to comment on a few of my faves:
Really love #17...the candles, for colour, repeition, the overall mood.
#9 - great interpretation! I can certainly relate!
#2 really nice DOF, simple background
#3 great candid shot. love the facial expression :)

My vote goes to #8. The contrast of the cold medal against the warm red of the poppy tells me a story about a fallen soldier.

I vote for #4 - a solitary soldier remembering his lost comrades. Special mention for photos 8, 13, 14 and 17 as they are stunning as well. - Christiane

I vote 17. To me the candles are symbolic of the soldiers experiences. Seemingly similar, yet marked and melted in ways that make each unique. Great job!

A clean, simple composition, yet has a lot of emotion.
You do not have to go very far, or hit your archive photos to meet the challenge.

I vote for # 14 the contrast is stunning. The inclusion of the tiny Canadian Flag pin speaks volumes as well.

There are several good photos. My favourite is #13 because of the colour and human element.

Fantastic work! It's really difficult to choose, but I will go with #17. I love the composition and the lines. The light gives it a very subdued mood which goes with the theme.

#2 and #4 were close seconds for me. Really difficult to choose -- all entries are excellent!
