Sometimes you gotta beat your own drum. I recently entered the Alaska Magazine photo contest and this shot was selected as 1st place in the Alaska lifestyle category and they put it on the cover of the September 2011 issue. What a hoot. This is a friend of mine, Dave, who went out onto the Mendenhall lake last winter to explore and look for caves.

Congrats, should of been the Grand Prize winner. Some of those other photo's weren't very good. This one is amazing though.
