Was on my way back home from a day of fishing and as I was heading through North Pass this guy was on the beach waving me down. I thought he might have engine problems and needed a tow. I get over to the beach and he says he has got a huge halibut and can not lift it into the boat. I had to get out and help him load it. It is estimated to weigh between 250 and 300 pounds, he said he fought it for one hour and 45 min. He had to tow it about a half a mile to get to the beach. This is all the higher he could lift it for the photo.
