Vela SNR - central part.

The Vela SNR is a supernova remnant in the southern constellation Vela.
Its source type II supernova exploded approximately 11,000-12,300 years ago (and was about 800 light years away). (WIKI)
It spans about 8 degrees in the sky!!!

This image contains data from 6 different filters: Ha O3 S2 and RGB totaling 5.5 hrs.

O3,S2 60 min each (BIN 2)
RGB - 30 min each (Bin 2)
