Cat's paw and Lobster nebulae

This wide field image show two bright emission nebulae sorrounded in Hydrogen gas in the rich milky way region in Scorpius.

NGC 6334 (also known as the Cat's Paw Nebula, Bear Claw Nebula and Gum 64) is seen at lower Left.
It was discovered by astronomer John Herschel in 1837.

NGC6357 - The Lobster Nebula seen at upper Right.
The nebula complex is approximately 5500 light-years distant.
