The initial plan was to fly into Long Banga and then trek north to Bario which will take 5 days. Following this plan; Long Banga/Peluan to Pa Okan - 8hrs. Pa Okan to Lepor Zync - 8hrs. Lepor Zync to Long Dano- 7 hrs. Long Dano to Bario - 7hrs. All these info can be found in the internet. Luke Southwell also gave us a plan of taking 4 wheel drive all the way from Miri to Lio Matoh and then to Bario. We decided to fly into Long Banga and meet up with Noriani who is manning the aerodrome and see what happen from there. The rest of the story will be told on individual pics as you go along. A Garmin Maps60CSX tracks are also available from Lg Banga to Bario and interpolated with Google Earth.

I had the plesure of staying at Long Banga as a Soldier one of the first to stay in the there early 60s.Wonderful people,I have some nice photoes of my time there that i would like to share some time must dig them out.

I was at Long Banga before. I stayed at Long Pullung.The sabans, Kenyah people are really friendly.

I'm from Long Banga (Philip's cousin). I'm amazed that you made it to Bario by yourselves. Great efforts. The story in photos is refreshing.

i was in pa' dalih last year. we stayed at uncle andreias house too. such a lovely family. what's an experience and enlightment. i'm going again this april to visit the people at pa dalih. can't wait! --jaq
