NGC 3572 and associated nebula

Cootamundra, NSW

NGC 3572 is an Open Cluster within the constellation of Carina the Keel, it is some 5.0 arc minutes wide and shines at magnitude 4.50, it is around 6500 Light Years away from Earth. This Open Cluster is also known as Collinder 239 and OCL 846.

The whole area surrounding this Open Cluster has very faint embedded nebulousity and the use of a Narrow Band filter is required to see it.

Takahashi Sky 90 operating at f/4.5 and Astrodon Tru-Colour 6Nm, Ha filter.
