The Three Gorges Village (TGV) is a very scenic and charming little village in the Xiling gorge. It's located in a deep valley and surrounded by breathtaking scenery, mountain brook and waterfalls. As with all attractions along the banks of the Yangtze, you'll need to climb to get there...
The TGV would not be much affected by the Three Gorges Dam (TGD) because it lies "behind" (downstream) the TGD but before the Gezhouba Dam, another huge dam in the Yangtze, near Yichang.
This photo was taking near the entrance of the valley leading to the TGV. A small dam has been built near the entrance (the stony path) to maintain a high water level in the brook so the scenery would be preserved.
