The South of Scotland

Various shots taken in and around the South of Scotland, over the years. My parents set up shop here in 1966.When I had to live here,I hated it.Now,almost in my dotage, and stuck in a rut in Greater London,I see Annandale, through different eyes. For the most part,it's a friendly, quiet, unassuming wee Scottish town.My mum still lives there.Ironically, she's a Londoner.Addendum, 2014 ; the place is littered with castles, mottes, towers and hill forts aplenty .I'm in my element. The only downside now,is I live 330 miles away.
