Denham Castle,as it may have looked,when in use.

Denham,Suffolk,UK view map

Its worth the few minutes it will take,to compare this with Pleshey Castle.Both are under the term,motte and bailey,yet totally different in scale and type.At Pleshey,the stockade was atop a mound,possibly 25ft.high,but here the stockade is at ground level.Both were moated,yet at Pleshey,everything is on a much grander scale.
