A very interesting stretch of Hadrian's Wall , remains thereof.

Sewingshields Crags , Northumberland.

No wonderful vista from here,alas,just a place where one cohort finished it's section,of 60 yards and another began.The step,in wall width,was a common display,of where one team met another.Usually there was an inscription detailing who built what,and such inscriptions tend now to be located in the various Wall museums.This section also demonstrates that not all extant remains are mortared together.
