Wow ! what a view !

Hadrian's Wall, Northumberland, England view map

Let's put it in context. This shot is from the top of Sewingshields Crags, looking southwest. The bumps in the ground immediately infront of camera, are the uncovered remains of Hadrian's Wall.Which runs downhill, off shot,on the lhs.It reappears along the top of the hill approxiamately halfway up the image,on the lhs, from where it proceeds over all the bumps along the middle of the panorama. It passes through the trees from where it can be seen as a dark line running to the next trees,2/3rds of the way up the rh edge of shot.Housesteads Fort is at this location.
