Pentax MX 35mm manual camera

Under my bed

Many years ago, around 1999,I was in church one day. There I met an old man, bemoaning his misfortune at having lost all his cameras, when moving into sheltered accommodation and not having kept at least one.Having just gotten a Nikon F60 myself,I offered him my old camera,(a Sigma SA300 )which Jessops had refused on part exchange,(as it had a small nick in the battery cover)as I no longer needed it.He leapt at the chance and over each succeeding week, would talk to me in church about another amazing thing the camera would do.From then, until his death last year,we would talk cameras, usually digital, comparing shots, etc.Just before he died,he gave me a camera bag plus camera and lenses, which I looked at and put under the bed.Earlier today,I looked at it again, this time having stumbled upon it during cleaning, under the bed. It's a good condition Pentax MX,plus a couple of lenses.

I owned one and loved it a lot. Pentax made great film cameras

I have my Dad's old Pentax ME Super gathering dust in a cupboard. I keep meaning to put some film in it and give it an outing. Maybe a New Year's resolution for me!
