Sadly,one of these beauties has disappeared,whilst the sole remaining swan,languishes in the nearby quarry,having deserted the pond.One can only speculate as to the reason for it's departure,but swans pair for life,so some foul deed seems most likely for it's departure.A band of East European men,some 6 in number has been seen in the locale,living rough.Whilst without concrete proof of wrong doing one cannot levy any crime,just 3 years ago in the Lea Valley,in Essex,59 swans went missing after an influx of east european migrants.
