A west to east crossing of the County of Essex

This year I intend to walk across Essex, from west to east, beginning at the ancient market town of Waltham Abbey, made famous in antiquity,as the place where I was married.Oh!and the last Saxon King,Harold II,wot got an arrow in his eye,he was buried there. From there,by a diverse route to Chipping Ongar, thence following the St.Peter's Way,the old pilgrimage route to St. Cedd's Chapel, in the remains of the Roman Fort of OTHONA,on the Dengie Peninsula.
