The next couple photos are dedicated to the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center. Their birth & growth rather than their destruction. This is an interesting image for anyone who recognizes the New York Telephone Co Building (or The Verizon Building) of 1928. The lot in the foreground is what was formally known as Radio Row, a neighborhood known for its dense population of radio repair & electronics shops. Shown here in September 1967, the entire 13 block neighborhood is cleared to make way for the future World Trade Center complex in lower Manhattan.
