Tim Capone, a longstanding member of the Syracuse Camera Club, and a wonderful photographer and person, passed away on June 20, 2008. We leave these photos that he posted so everyone will remember his gifts. July 3, 2008 I want to clarify my previous posting in regards to Tim and his birthday. We all very much feel that Tim is in a better place, we can call it heaven, the kingdom of God, paradise etc. What I was trying to say, and I apologize sincerely, if I did not make my wording clear in this matter is below. As everyone who knew Tim, knows, Tim was a very, very,very, kind person. While July 2nd is the date of Tim's birthday, based on our knowledge, so now, since Tim is loved by everyone in heaven, that he may have been recognized by everyone in heaven who love him for HIS loving compassionate qualities. Thanking him for HIS good deeds certainly is quite a possibility. Birthday parties are known for their "fun" and humerous antics. In light of Tim's love of people and kindness to others, I hope that he was honored in heaven by everyone there who now loves him there.. Let's not forget that Tim DID have a great sense of humor, which was one of his fun loving characteristics. What another possible way that Tim could be honored, by giving him a birthday party up in heaven. Tim of course is now cured of all medical problems and is certainly expressing his love to others who see his great smile and beautiful blue eyes. But a birthday party up in heaven WOULD FIT RIGHT IN WITH HIS FUN LOVING PHILOSOPHY. I hope that Tim enjoyed his birthday up in heaven, he would have probably been at peace and very happy looking down from heaven watching over all his loved family members, and his hundreds and hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of friends who love him just as much as his family does. On his birthday, he may have been taking photos, hiking, litening to "world music" or doing many of the other things that he loved doing. My point is, this, if some type of "ceremony" was held on July 2nd, I hoped it made Tim smile, have a good laugh and above all make him extremely, extremely, happy and that it is so joyous rhat Tim remembers it forever. That was what I was trying to say, but I typed it up poorly. It is MY mistake, and again, I apologize for it. Now on to other matters: Nothing would make me happier, then to have another friend who really loved Tim, to step up to the plate and make a donation to Tim's scholarship fund, but there is one catch, I would be so happy if the donation was for a HIGHER amount. OCC probably needs scholarship assistance more then LeMoyne, or SUNY Plattsburgh, due to many more lower income students at OCC but I hope if Tim has friends at those two other colleges that they support this project at their schools as well. Please write out check or money order nd give it to Mark Capone. Thank You. I hope that my comments in this posting have cleared up what I was trying to say. July 1, 2008 Dear Tim: Happy Birthday Tim, I know that July 2, 2008 would have been your next birthday. I hope that you have an enjoyable birthday party up in heaven. I saw your dad earlier this evening and I just wanted to tell you that I gave your father a $75.00 money order for the creation of a scholarship in your memory at Onondaga Community College in the field of photography. This is the first of what I hope will be many donations from all your friends who loved you so much, so that we can create an ENDOWED scholarship in your memory. Again, in spirit, Happy Birthday Tim. July 2, 1960 to June 20, 2008. You have a special place in my heart thoughts and prayers due to your kindness to others. Sincerely, Steve

June 27, 2008 Dear Tim: Hi Tim You were an incredible person, and I'm going to miss you so much. Thank you for being not only a fantastic photographer but an outstanding friend. I wish we both had more time to get together and go out and take pictures, socialize, and help each other out. You were not only the BEST photographer but you were also an outstanding teacher. I hope you always have a camera with you in heaven and are taking "tons of" pictures. Your kindness to not only me but other people was deeply felt. Knowing you as a member of the Syracuse Camera Club was such an enjoyable experience for me. You meant a lot to me and the quality of your work Tim, is superb. I have been trying to see if we can get an exhibition of your prints (the framed matted and mounted versions) for an exhibition at either Onondaga Community College or Community Darkrooms at Syracuse University. Seeing your prints full size, the way that you made them would be a real treat for not only me but for the many people who loved you and never got a chance to see your fantastic beautiful work. Seeing your work in a gallery setting is so much better. Your work Tim is all worthy of an A+ grade, the highest quality and grade that you can get. There is a place in the hearts of all the people who knew you Tim. Anyone who knew you loved you. You meant so much to me and to all the other people you touched in your life. I'll never forget you Tim. In my guestbook posting, I commented that you should be the BEST choice for "heaven's photographer". The Good Lord SHOULD pick you due to your dedication to the photographic craft, your kindness to others, and because you loved people and so many of us really loved you. Tim you ARE THE BEST. You have my utmost respect for all of your great fantastic accomplishments. When we had the photoclub banquet on Wednesday, we had a moment of silence in your honor and to honor Naomei Penny as well. However, to be honest, I really wish that you were well and here. I feel the same way about Naomei. Thank You, Tim, for caring about other people as nicely as you did and making the art of photography all that much better. You are in my thoughts, heart and prayers. Till we meet again. Rest In Peace, Tim. I won't ever forget you. I encourage other photographers, camera club members and other people who may have known Tim to share their comments about him. I will certainly miss him very much. Tim WAS a gift from God, because of his love and kindness to others. I'm sorry if I repeated myself, but Tim is such a great person that I'm choking up with emotional grief as I type this up. Thank You to Tim's family and other friends for your understanding in these circumstances. I appreciate it. Hi Tim, Beautiful "artfelt" images. I can imagine a fabric designer using the vibrant glass abstract patterns on silk fabrics. Very creative designs done with interesting processes.

Very creative and colorful work Tim. I find your "Unmotivational Posters" very amusing and again very creative especially in the use of your captioning chosen for the natural subjects. I'll look forward as I am sure others will also seeing more of your work in the future. Good luck. Bob Walker
