Sziget is a one-week all-genre festival held in August on an island in the north of Budapest (Hungary).

I managed to secure myself a photo pass this year so I had a chance to shoot some bands from the pit. I visited the festival on Days 4-7 and even though I was running around quite a bit, I realised it is impossible to cover a whole lot of bands as the stages are a bit far away and everything seems to be happening at the same time. I am particularly unhappy about all the dance and street theatre performances I had to miss.

Best gig: Leningrad. Completely unexpected, this Russian ska band managed to blow me off my feet by the atmosphere they created on stage and amongst the audience.
