If you look closely, you can see the reminants of a peace sign surrounding the word "eternal". The peace sign faded away a few years ago.
This house is in a light-industrial area. There are a handful of similar, small houses next to each other, all of which are all in the same state of decay. Houses in other parts of the nieghborhood have mostly been refurbished, but not this little group. Maybe it used to belong to some long-gone religious group (Berkeley has more churches and cults per capita then any other town in the US).
I like this shot for the light on the word "Eternal" yet the left part scratched in the dark indicating the opposite. Eternal or not...? Good question !
