Georgia likes its form and so do I. But I also like what you say to me with this picture, Carol. This photograph speaks of time. It expresses time by taking me from layer to layer. I start in our time, were people must put iron scrollwork over their windows to keep other people out of their homes. You then take me beyond the iron and into an arched window frame that represents another, more gracious era. And finally I find myself staring deep into the picture, studying a reflection that shows me still another, less elegant era, where brick facades and sturdy windows were the order of the day. Because that reflection is actually coming from behind me, I feel if as you have deliberately packed me into a Time Sandwich, which is a strange but fascinating concept. Did you really intend to do this to me, Carol, or were you just out having fun with your new camera?
This one is truly dynamite! The scrollwork itself is gorgeous; the composition and the reflection are masterful, Carol. You've outdone yourself with this one!
