Now, and then

Fort Bragg

The Skunk Train at present, adjacent to this old dilapadated Skunk train, vandalized and rusted through on the left. The old train is not only an eyesore but a danger since people enter the cars and are up to no good.
They don't seem to want to remove the old train, to the dismay of residents of Fort Bragg, but to the delight of photographers.

Terrific composition, Carol.....the design element, the perspective, the contrast all tell a story of what was, what is, and the question of what will be as our eye is drawn into the unknown.

stunning - I live the way the sense of perspective leads the eye into the distance - perhaps a metaphor for looking to the future - remembering the "Now, and then."
