These photos were taken on the first day of the Vaikasi uthsavam at AzhwAr thirunagari. A kainkaryapara from the temple comes to SrI sannidhi to request Srimath Azhagiyasingar to come for dwajA rOhaNam. Actually the kainkaryapara beats the ground with deer skin (due to lack of better terms!) Srimath Azhagiyasingar completes the abigamana ArAdhanam and rushes to the AzhwAr sannidhi in pallakku. Bhattar performs the vigyapanam to Srimath Azhagiyasingar to start the proceeedings and Srimath Azhagiyasingar nods his head in all smile. Then the bhattar performs the dwajA rOhaNam. Srimath Azhagiyasingar receives the mariyAdai and everyone is let inside the sannidhi to have a glimpse of Azhwar and then to adjacent mandapam for prasAda viniyOga gOshti. After this Srimath Azhagiyasingar gets another mariyAdai inside the sannidhi of AzhwAr.
