This is a classic travel photo, Suzy -- well composed and exposed. It shows the scene well, and the gondolas give scale. However it is not expressive travel photography. It is more of a record than an impression. As you will see from studying my cyberbook on expressive travel photography, you will move from description to expression by making images that are more abstract, incongruous, and reflect human values. You have already done this in some of the images I saw in your masked ball gallery. While such images as this make nice memories, if you want to tell a story, involve the viewers imagination, or stimulate emotional response, you need to move beyond showing what the subject looks like, and instead tell us what it means to you. Good luck, Phil
