Morse code star trail

Namibia

my 1st attempt.

The reason it has gaps in the trail is because unlike most Nikon timer releases on mine the interval is actually just the interval you want and you dont have to add the exposure time. I did so there is one 5min photo every 10mins rather than every 5mins with a 1 sec gap. I know for next time ;)

These photos then stacked in photoshop.

I like the gaps too. There's a new program called StarStax free on the web and it's better than Photoshop for this. For a first attempt it's bloody great!

I like the gaps! Sometimes the coolest things are discovered by accident. Nicely done.

As soon as I looked at this I knew you hadn't taken it in the UK.
*Then* I looked at the gallery title. Duh.
The star trails seem a little long for 199s tho'. Still, nicely done! V
