For most a jammed finger would be not a big deal, but for a soldier in training it can be rather devestating. The training is harsh and you need every inch of your body to partake in the training if you desire to graduate with your company. There is such pride in graduating with the company you started out with that most soldiers wait at times to long before they are seen for their injuries.
