This image is a little bit coarse
in file quality, but it does offer that
dramatic stormy character that many folks
enjoy watching on Lake Superior
once the autumn season arrives -- prelude to
the "Gales of November Come Early."
On this particular day, the forecast
was for winds of 10-12 mph, which seemed laughable
since it was blowing us over -- literally.
Seems that the winds around here are often understated,
and a Florida relative -- in attendance -- opined
that their hurricanes had nothing over on Lake Superior.
We have to agree.
