We ended up the "semi-arid" part of the Gobi, not quite in the western heart where they're now finding all these wonderful fossils. But we did get to the "Flaming Cliffs" where they made the first discoveries of dino-eggs and the like. We hit terrible dust storms, a bit of rain and unusually harsh freezing windy weather for early September.
