Durga Puja is the most prominent Autumn Festival in West Bengal. It is a significant cultural event apart from a Hindu Idol worshipping ritual. People from all religion and states residing in anywhere in this sub-continent participate in this unique festival of Bengal. Cultural programmes, decoration of 'Pandals' or 'Mandapam' are distinctive display of the skills of Bengal's artisans.
