This is the Marmot that kept trying to chew the shoelaces off my boots while I was photographing Mountain Goats in Glacier Nat'l Park. It was during this trip that I decided that Mountain Goats don't like the marmots. Either that or they were defending me, because the goats kept chasing this marmot under this rock... **The coloring in the rock is from a mineral called "Chlorite" and there were deep purples and greens like this everywhere I looked while hiking above the Logan Pass Visitor Center.
