Natures Shoulder

Beaverton, Oregon

I spotted this symbiotic relationship between Dandelions one day on a break at work. The stem supporting the seed ball had a bad spot in it and toppled the seed ball onto the blossom. Being without my camera gear required me to wait the whole windy day to get the chance to photograph these two plants. After capturing these pictures the landscapers came by with the lawn mowers and mowed this once in a lifetime moment down. This image is just as I found the plants and has not been touched or manipulated. The image following this in the gallery shows a distance image of the two plants and gives a better perspective of the odds of the seed pod falling direclty on top of the blossom.

Wonderful image and a great little story thanks to a excellent eye. Just a reminder we all need support or a shoulder at times, no man is an island.
