This hawk is part of a pair that nest in the area each year. As far
as I can tell they haven't chosen a nest site yet, but I will keep
watch. This is the best image I have to date of a Coopers Hawk.
This guy was trying to run off a Great Horned Owl that is
in the same area, but I have news for the hawk. With the female
Great Horned nesting in a cliff cavity nearby, I don't think
the male GH is going anywhere...
